You worked tirelessly to save eight men in Arkansas from being executed this April–four of which were spared in part due to your efforts. Now, after a three and a half year hiatus, 27 men in Ohio are up for execution, the first of which will die Wednesday unless we act now. Will you help by signing this petition? change.org/stop27executions What happened in Arkansas several months ago is only one example of states rushing to execute despite the risks. Five innocent men exonerated from Ohio’s death row and seventeen former corrections professions from Ohio and elsewhere also urged the Governor not to move forward with the proposed execution schedule, citing risk of wrongful convictions and concern for the wellbeing of corrections officers. You can read more about their efforts here: http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2017/07/ohio_death_penalty_opponents_u.html Help send a message to Governor Kasich that Americans do not agree with the death penalty by standing up for the 27 men scheduled to die in Ohio: change.org/stop27executions. The first of these executions is scheduled to take place this coming Wednesday–that’s only five days from now. But there’s still time to act: Sign and share this petition now to help save death row inmate Ronald R. Phillips by sharing this petition to Ohio Governor John Kasich.
