The abhorrent Jordan Ross – see these prior posts: https://horseracingwrongs.org/?s=Jordan+Ross&ct_post_type=post%3Apage%3Aajde_events – simply can’t help himself. In the latest round of harness rulings, this:
“While driving [2-year-old] Flyingsix Dec 2 at Hoosier Park [where else?], Jordan Ross violated the IHRC whipping rule by using excessive wrist and elbow action while whipping the horse after the half entering the far turn. For this violation Mr. Ross is fined $300 (first offense of the meet of this type). Mr. Ross waived his right to a hearing and agreed to the penalty. Penalty was aggravated due to Mr. Ross raising his elbow and bringing the whip back behind his head.”
So it was “aggravated,” but a pittance of a fine and no suspension? And don’t you just love “first offense of the meet of this type”? Horrible.
Also, driver/trainer Christian Myers was busted for “kicking a horse” (probably 9-year-old Everyrosehasathorn) at Batavia Dec 9. His penance: $100 fine.
