I received this email from the Governor's office.
Dear Ms. Mann,
Thank you for contact the office of Governor Malloy regarding the Kato & Kleo case. As you know, a disposal order was issued for Kato and Kleo by the Hamden Municipal Animal Control Office. Once a local, municipal Animal Control Office issues a restraint or disposal order, the affected dog owner can request an administrative hearing before the Department of Agriculture. A hearing officer issued a proposed final decision and submitted that to the commissioner for his review and affirmation. Once the commissioner upholds an order, the dog owner can avail themselves of due process rights and appeal the final decision to the court system. At this point in time, the matter you reference is in the courts. The best place to request further information pertaining to your concerns would be through the judicial branch.
Please let me know if you have any further questions,
Best,
Jay
