Reverse the ban on vaping in Massachusetts

Reverse the ban on vaping in Massachusetts
The Issue
Governor Charlie Baker has issued an emergency ban on all vaping products in Massachusetts on 9/24/19. Vaping has helped many people, including myself, quit smoking and keep away from tobacco. This ban could run some small businesses out of business, and turn people back to tobacco products such as cigarettes, cigars, chew, etc. vaping products that are regulated have been proven to be 95% safer than traditional tobacco. There has only been a few “confirmed” cases of vaping related illnesses in Massachusetts and a few more “suspected” cases. Most of the national wide suspected vaping illnesses have been from black market products, and black market THC cartridges, while regulated products go through testing and labs before they hit the shelves. The studies done on these illnesses have shown that most of the cases have had both nicotine and THC mixed into the same device and vaped together. If this ban kept in effect it could also turn people to get black market products instead of the heavily regulated device and products, and could potentially cause more cases of this disease.
