Some good news was just shared

Thank goodness for concerned individuals that have been calling and putting pressure on the Insurance industry. We STILL believe if individuals can accomplish positive traction, the leadership of MD Anderson should be working with all the other companies to re-instate our PPO options. The news is as such: Please circulate this information: Humana is now selling a PPO in Harris County and any other county in which they previously had not been. It appears to be a very comprehensive plan with MDA IN NETWORK. If you are a Humana policy holder now or if you have even called their call center to inquire about plans you can purchase until Dec 31st with guaranteed coverage on the 1st. Anyone calling before the 15th is guaranteed coverage. This is only being sold off network. This is HUGE for Harris County. While I've spent weeks on this it has paid off. There's a lesson here. If you persist with your inquiry sometimes good things can result. This is one. It should be a Godsend to many MDA patients if they can afford to buy it. The network is Choice Care. From what I can tell every major hospital in town is in network. The plan will also be sold in every county in Texas. Most have already had it. 26 counties did not. If your county did not you can now buy it. Call Humana! It is not on the website yet. That will take a number of days. If you call today and they say "no" then give them a day or two at the most and they will have the information. It is definitely true. Just may be trickling down. If you are a current policy owner or you have called the call center you should be getting a letter in the mail advising you of this. The number to call is 1-888-371-9538.
