UPDATE! Department for Transport Letter - 5th of August 2026

I have received a letter from the Department for Transport regarding the Louth to Firsby railway trackbed on the 5th of August 2026.

Basically it is up to East Lindsey District Council to write the line in its Local Plan in order to safeguard it from developers in order to keep the route clear of houses to make any future reinstatement of the line physically possible.

I just thought that I would share this update with you all.
