Hi all,
I'm REALLY GUTTED that the Louth - Firsby railway project wasn't awarded funding in the Restoring Your Railway Fund. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with a petition which has nearly 5,300 signatures.
Should I keep it, and keep collecting signatures, or should I just close it down. I've gotten so far with this with convincing East Lindsey District Council to submit a bid for Louth - Firsby. At least I've managed to get this out there, and gather interest all across Lincolnshire, so it's not such a waste of time really.
I'm guessing that the Department for Transport didn't think that this project was worth the funding to fund a £50,000 feasibility study into it's possible re-opening unfortunately. What a shame.
Thank you to Thomas Ashton for all your hard work with this. Do you have any suggestions what to do with the petition as I don't? I hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks,
Jamie
