Dear Friends and Supporters
Yesterday, Thursday 23rd September 2021, our friend and former BA Cabin Crew colleague Carol Ng, returned to court along with 46 other Activists detained at Lo Wu Correctional Institution in Hong Kong, charged with demonstrating for workers rights and subverting the power of the state.
We had hoped for better news but sadly Carol's case was further adjourned until 29th November 2021. This is of course, extremely disappointing but we continue to fight for her release.
Up to and including 23rd September 2021, Carol will have been detained in total for 208 days! We have had the most amazing support worldwide from friends, work colleagues, MPs and the world of entertainment which has made a huge difference in raising awareness of Carol's case.
We can't even begin to imagine the mental torture they are all going through and would ask you please to continue writing to Carol at the address below and also to sign and share this petition to ensure Carol's case and those of the other Activists remains high profile.
Following the news this week that HKCTU are disbanding, the Google sheet that allowed us to send letters to Carol online has also been pulled. Please direct all correspondence for Carol using the contact details below. Please state on the envelope: Letter to Carol Ng.
