Brief introduction of PIHAN as a body.

PIHAN, which stands for Prospective Interns/Houseofficers association of Nigeria, is a body that was formed by fresh medical graduates for all prospective medical graduates who undergo a compulsory one year internship in an accredited facility in Nigeria as a prerequisite for permanent licensure and registration. It was created 11th of July, 2015, after which it launched its first wave of online campaign in a bid to create a public awareness and sensitize the government to challenges been faced by medical interns and to motivate appropriate action by same. This was sequel to the hardship and profound hopelessness been faced by prospective medical interns when seeking for placement in an accredited training facility.
