I would like to share two excellent pieces of news:
(1) We are shy from 2 signatures to 600 with both English and French versions combined.
The issue of ventilation has never been so present in the media and political landscape since schools had to open windows by -30C. Clearly, better solutions are urgently required, calibrated against the air volume in classes and the number of its occupants.
The second good news:
(2) There is a big wind of change within a high-level Quebec scientific committee (that advises and recommends to INSPQ which measures to take against COVID). This committee just published on January 18th a recommendation regarding the usefulness of air purifiers in schools and concludes, for the first time, on the basis of fresh scientific data, that they play an IMPORTANT role to reduce the risk of COVID infection. Finally, please be aware that the link to this petition has been shared with my MLA (Saint-Anne / Saint-Henri) Dominique Anglade that recommends that she puts pressure on the government to follow this scientific advice when the parliamentarians resume activity on February 1st.
Therefore, it is now ever more important to grow the number of supporters of this online petition by sharing it with your contacts, your friends, your loved ones, school parents, citizen fighting the disease whether they are patients or hospital staff.
