SC finally admits that section 497 is archaic and needs to be abolished

The fact that the supreme court acknowledges that there should be gender equality between men and women (although I'm more in favor of gender "neutrality" to all genders) is a good sign. Hopefully, this will lead to its removal or at least dumb it down to a civil offense and ground for divorce as it is in most western countries.
