Submission of Memorandum on IDP

It gives us immense pleasure to inform all of you that on the eve of WORLD REFUGEE DAY , 20th June, KP coordination committee for IDP status in a whirlwind exercise presented a MEMORANDUM to the Prime Minister of India across various cities in India and Foreign locations. Following are the locations from where this memorandum was submitted to local authorities: 1. Governor of j and k. 2. Divisional commissioner, Kashmir 3. DC Pulwama 4. DC Shopian 5. DC Kulgam 6. Divisional Commissioner Jammu 7. Hirenji in PMO's office 8. Smt. Sushma Swaraj 9. Arun Singh, Ambassador of India, Washington DC. 10. Smt. Riva Ganguly Das, Consulate General of India, New York. 11) Faridabad 12) Ambala 13) DC Chandigarh 14) Jaipur 15) Pune 16) Banglore 17) Gurgaon 18) Minister of State for Home Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary The memorandum emphasized on Declaring the Kashmiri Pandit community living in Exile scattered across the globe as INTERNALLY DISPLACED COMMUNITY ( IDP ). KP community which faced displacement due to Islamic Terrorism in Kashmir valley is living a life of homeless and bewilderment is neither a migrant community nor falls under the category of Refugees. Under UN humanitarian guidelines our community is INTERNALLY DISPLACED COMMUNITY and IDP STATUS is necessary for its survival as an ethnic and aboriginal race of Kashmir. We further believe that it is the responsibility of the national govt to ensure our protection during exile and our safe and respectful return to our Motherland. Coordination committee for IDP
