Moving On

As of this morning, no response from the Ministry of Education (Culture, Youth and Sport) has been forthcoming, not even from the office of the Mash Secretariat. I did speak with Minister Hughes this morning and while the Ministry of Tourism cannot assume responsibility for this project, she has acknowledged that this is a project that should be done and has offered to support us in some way. This means that Capture Guyana 2016 is over; the Ministry of Education has failed us (again). We will host an Exhibition of sorts, and I will post one more update here when the name and form have been decided. Thank you for the support, your voices were heard, ignored by some, but because of this kind of support, the photography community will show some of the submitted images for Capture Guyana under a new title. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
