Guam is a beautiful Paradise with picturesque, tropical, sandy beaches and to die for sunsets. But there is a dark side to this beautiful island.

There is an estimated count of about 60,000 stray animals that roam the island. Many are shunned, ignored or subjected to animal cruelty- all because they are homeless and have nowhere to safely reside.

This issue has been a generational one that has continued to fall on deaf ears with the local government. Rescue groups have come together in recent years to do all they can to rescue as many strays as possible, vaccinate them, spay/neuter them, rehabilitate them, as well as adopt them into loving homes. All run off of donations and out of our own pockets.

Guam is home to only ONE animal shelter and it cannot keep up with, nor accommodate the astounding numbers of animals brought in on a daily basis.

Our rescue group, Guahan Paws for Pets is currently in the middle of protecting a certain area and pack (affectionately known as The T-Crew) that was filmed in a video that went viral, causing a ridiculous circus around their previously undisturbed are, resulting in all the hard work we have done to gain trust becoming completely demolished. The pack that was once friendly and contained is now scared of even US, and migrating further away from the area, preventing us from rescuing anymore out.

The opposite side of their previous home is on a busy roadway where today we found one pup deceased in the middle of traffic, and my 14 year old son compassionately removed the innocent baby to a shaded tree to eternally rest. This is shameful.

Later that day, we found another puppy with it's left leg completely mangled and inside exposed; looking like it had gotten caught in something or some kind of very sharp material was used to hurt her. Maybe even a trap. Rescue efforts have been in progress but with all the scaring that has been done, she has gone into hiding along with the rest of them.

This pack almost never ventured out and away but have begun to all because people and our government have ignored our methods and taken it upon themselves to do it "their way" that doesn't involve any experience, education on animals or their behavior, expertise or humane ways to trap them. Most importantly they have continued to show zero compassion, only looking for a quick fix for an issue CREATED by HUMANS for DECADES.

Please sign and share this petition as we continue to fight for the T-Crew pack as well as all the other innocent animals that are voiceless. We must be their voice. Don't let our Paradise continue to have this dark side. The way we treat our animals shows the way we value all life. This is not who the people of Guam are! Do not let this be who we are!
