The Iranian government has sentenced a father, scholar and spiritual teacher to death by hanging for expressing his opinion and for founding a spiritual group called Erfan Halgheh. Mohammad Ali Taheri has spent four-and-a-half years in solitary confinement in Tehran’s Evin Prison for the charge of “insulting Islamic sanctities” through his spiritual beliefs and teachings. He now faces imminent execution after receiving a death sentence for “spreading corruption on earth”. Mohammad Ali Taheri is an Iranian phenomenon who belongs to all humanity. He is a researcher and the founder of two branches of complementary medicine, Faradarmani and Psymentology, which have healed and awakened many people. Currently, more than thirty thousand instructors in the world are teaching his complementary medicine and millions of people have benefited from it. Many scientific papers have reported successful outcomes. Dr. Taheri has pursued his work legally by writing books and articles, and by teaching in universities. After proving his theories and curing many illnesses, Dr. Taheri received honorary degrees and awards from various universities around the globe, including the gold medal at the international trade fair in Brussels, and various gold medals at the International Cyber Genius Inventor Fair in South Korea.  The Iranian authorities and part of Sepah (the Revolutionary Guard), have initiated a campaign to eliminate the spiritual groups & human right activist in Iran. It is characterised by multifaceted propaganda and coercive measures such as arrests and torture against its members. Over 90 of Dr. Taheri’s students have been arrested since April 9, 2015 and they have been sentenced from 1 to 5 years. Many among this group have been physically and emotionally abused. The fabricated allegations against Mr. Taheri and his students were triggered by the vast interest general public had shown to his teaching that were based on compassion and love. Mr. Taheri did not break any laws, he had obtained the required legal permission and documents necessary for his classes from various government agencies. The March 2014 edition of the United Nations Report on the situation of human rights in Iran states that Dr. Taheri has been imprisoned for his expression of theological beliefs that challenge those endorsed by the Government.
