Poverty and Economic rights

Economic rights without ability to achieve are meaningless

Economic rights are universally recognized as human rights. There is, however, need to recognize that there is a vacuum in achieving these economic rights for people with little or no post-secondary education and training. People are continuously tangled in the cycle of poverty from one generation to the next.

We are increasingly moving towards a two-tier populace: those that have and can, and the rest who neither have nor can.

Our policies, both at federal and provincial levels, must ensure an affordable and accessible public post-secondary education and training for all. We are calling upon you to join hands to set an example in Canada.

Let us ensure that each one of us has access to employment that pays a livable wage, that provides food, shelter and healthcare. Success for each of us adds to our collective success.

Together let us counter poverty: educate and train.
