Rehman Chishti MP has been campaigning for the UK Government and media outlets to refer to the so called "Islamic State", ISIS/ISIL as "Daesh" in line with other countries around the World. 

The use of these titles give legitimacy to a terrorist organisation that is not Islamic nor has it been recognised as a state. 

Daesh is a Arabic name for the group and holds negative connotations, referring to "one who sows discord".  This name has since been taken up by Turkey and France and many others.
