After the BBC panaroma program that exposed Drury & Sons Ltd for Equine cruelty and disregard for end of life needs to be closed down and license removed which allows equine slaughter.

Basic standards have been ignored, horses shot at long range in front of each other does not meet a humane slaughter. Horses deserve a better ending and Dury and sons must be held accountable.

Should be shutdown immediately after Wiltshire Trading Standards took this company and another to court and won for inhumane treatment of a horse being brought for destruction at this abattoir. The horse should have been put to sleep immediately once found to be suffering as opposed to letting it suffer for hours.

Unfortunately the fine imposed, £22k split between the companies, didn’t go far enough. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour.
