thank you so much for your support Please be aware of this! Some may think this may not affect them but it can affect all hard working people in every day life this is relevant to us all Even if you don’t have a expression of wishes form or life cover a family member may have named you on there’s
Myself and Julie Davenport independent councillor went to Andrew Lower MP’s surgery to ask for his help to remove the DISCRETIONARY word from our expression of wishes forms which you fill out in the event of your death This form is given out to you to sign advise by your Company you work for or you take out privately your expression of wishes are not legally binding
Andrew’s office will speak with the Treasury about this and look into an Early Day Motion so this can be discussed in Parliament. We do not know which route this petition will go down but We DO need more signatures.
The Discretionary word gives complete control to the trustees your expression of wishes may not be carried out the trustees are under no obligation to share any information with your loved ones you have named financially they don’t have to give your loved ones you have named anything this is what the Discretionary word means
PLEASE, PLEASE SIGN THIS TO HELP Us make this huge difference to the bereaved by ensuring Trustees, who don’t even know you, cannot make decisions against your express wishes.
This could be open to fraud when I phoned the company in question after my son’s death I was told there was no paperwork in my name which was not true after nearly three years under the 1998 data protection act I finally got hold of the paperwork with my name on proving I was the only named beneficiary a solicitor could not get hold of this paperwork
