Reason to be Hopeful

Today, May 21 we have reason to be hopeful. We got a glimpse of River #Ankobra today. If anyone doubts that the work of Operation Halt II is getting results they need only look at the video of the Ankobra river on March 17 and Ankobra river today, May 21.

While we are under no illusion about what work still lies ahead, we are very encouraged.

Tomorrow at our weekly meeting, the Galamsey Action Group's Solutions team, led by Audrey Quaye, will be taking us through some initial proposals on what we can do as a country to ensure that we not only sustain these gains, but that we also embark on a route to a formalized, well regulated small scale mining sector in Ghana.

Under no circumstances should mining, whether small or large scale, be done at the expense of Ghana's majestic river bodies or our forest reserves. NEVER AGAIN! #neveragain #saveourrivers #savenature #UNSDG

Please share to get us to 10,000 signatures.
