World Water Day - March 22 : The Chanfang of Doom

On #WorldWaterDay I am disheartened to see what our rivers and bodies of water look like today in Ghana.

It's even more heartbreaking to realize that 2 years ago, the Operation Vanguard team formed to fight #Galamsey and Irresponsible mining made a call on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to BAN Chanfangs, the equipment used to dredge our rivers and waterbodies in search of #gold. Two years on THERE HAS BEEN NO BAN. These horrid tools are still being used on Ghanaian rivers. Rivers #Tano, #Ankobra, #Bonsa #Birim, #Pra and others are helpless victims of this deliberate inaction from the President and his government.

The question is, WHEN IS MR PRESIDENT GOING TO ACT TO SAVE GHANA's WATER BODIES? #BanChanfangsNow
