It's been amazing to see our petition get close to 1,000 signatures in just a few days!

Although the primary was just rescheduled to June 2, there was no announcement about lifting restrictions on absentee voting. Even with the delay, we don’t have much time to make sure everyone is able to vote safely. Unfortunately there is a lot of resistance among CT registrars of voters and town clerks to allow no-excuse absentee voting. Our democracy depends on the ability of voters to cast their ballots, and even with the delay, there is little chance that the public health risks of in-person voting will have waned. We need Gov. Lamont to do everything possible (including using the courts) to allow no-excuse absentee voting.
