Expand the MTA and NYS telework policy. We NEED YOUR HELP

Good morning,
1,847 have signed!
We still need support for this petition. New York State workers want to telecommute, and the one day a week that is currently offered is not what we want for a work-life balance. We want the ability to work full-time from home and to only come in as the exception. The workers who had to be in the office during the pandemic were there due to the nature of their job, and not crowding them saved a lot of people from infection, including our customers.
This pilot is silly, as we have shown during the pandemic, to be just as productive at home as in the office and happier. Since their return to the office, they have lost hundreds of workers at the MTA alone. The federal government has had telecommuting long before the pandemic and continues to.
Lost is tons of institutional knowledge gone due to stubbornness.
Telecommuting cost savings aren’t just good news for you; employees benefit immensely.
Data shows the average employee saves up to $4,000 per year by teleworking part-time.
Teleworkers save money on gas when they’re not commuting to an office. Work-at-home jobs also help employees save money on lunches, work attire, and child care.
New hires are difficult due to low pay, lack of raises 2%? And this poor telecommute policy.
I humbly ask you, even if you don't want to work from home, to please sign and share for the others who do. We are all in the same family and would do it for you.
Peace and be safe,
Varnessa
