Still Waiting for EPA to Respond. Read Complaints in Georgia EPD Public Database.

Thank you for supporting this petition.  We are still waiting for EPA to respond to the Congressional Inquiry. EPA, which works collaboratively with other federal agencies to investigate and address environmental violations, continues to have extreme delays in responding to community complaints and Congressional Inquiries. 

Environmental violations often intersect with human rights and civil rights concerns.  In 2020, a federal court ruled that the EPA violated the law by taking over a decade to investigate civil rights complaints filed by community groups across the country. The lawsuit challenged the EPA’s failure to protect civil rights in the environmental context, arguing that the agency had not completed investigations within the required 180 days. This was unacceptable then, and it is unacceptable now.  Unexplained delays persist, perpetuating further harm to communities and families from toxic pollution and environmental hazards.

We need help for all Georgia residents affected by environmental hazards.  Please keep sharing the petition and updates. No matter your zip code, we all deserve to breathe clean air.  Our environment belongs to all of us!

Georgians are pleading for help and stating how toxic smoke and air pollution are affecting medical conditions such as heart disease, asthma, COPD, cancer, and more. My complaints are also in the public database.  Please note that any agency with enforcement failures should never be allowed to self-investigate. Never.

What is occurring in Georgia is really an outrage and warrants national attention. Federal investigation and intervention were needed months ago. Every Georgia resident in the public database needs to be informed of toxic chemical exposure, and many of these cases need to be reopened and federally audited and investigated.
