UPDATE:

On day one, around 500 Kia'i showed up and stood up for their mountain. No arrests were made. And no construction vehicles were taken up the Mauna. Kia'i stood in Kapu Aloha, rising together.

On day two, the Kupuna held down the front line. Once again, no arrests were made and no construction vehicles were taken up the Mauna. Kia'i are standing strong in prayer. Aloha Āina.

On day three, thirty three Kupuna were willingly arrested, posted bail, and returned up the Mauna. The Mana Wahine held down the front line. Unshakeable in their collective strength. Over 1000 Kia'i stood on Mauna Kea. Police stood in force, but after making a deal with protectors to clear the Saddle road where a protest of support had been taking place, they retreated. No construction vehicles were taken up the Mauna. 

On day four, there was no increased police presence, no arrests were made, no construction vehicles were taken up the Mauna. There were hula classes and sing-alongs and protectors could rest to some extent. Kia'i made strong in preparation for the days to come. 

Please keep sending prayers to Mauna Kea. Keep sharing this petition. Governor Ige has announced a state of emergency and the National Guard have been flown over from Saomoa. Stay vigilant, stay alert. Share everything. Send everything to your media contacts. Things may be heating up as this day begins in Hawai'i.
