Google/Bing license their satellite imagery from a handful of commercial companies that observe the earth daily. There will almost certainly be satellite imagery available of Washington DC today or in the next few days. Google and Microsoft need to update the imagery of Black Lives Matter Plaza NW to show how this moment in history is and needs to be world changing. In addition, showing anyone viewing our capital on a map a clear and poignant visual symbol representing a turning point in a year full of conflict, fear, abuse, death, and injustice.
