The Great Pacific Garbage Patch on GOOGLE MAPS

The Great Pacific Garbage Patch on GOOGLE MAPS
The Issue
Google should put the Great Pacific Garbage Patches on Google Maps so people can become aware of what their plastic waste is doing.
Much of the plastic we recycle isn’t even getting recycled because there is way too much of it. It ends up in oceans, seas, landfills and a number of other could/would-be ecosystems.
The patches are spread around large areas of the Pacific (1.6 million square kilometres) and it’s made completely of bits of garbage and plastic waste. It’s around half the size of Greenland and it’s growing.
If Google puts it on Google Maps, people will be more aware of where their waste is going. This could possibly reduce plastic waste and garbage dramatically.
