A crazy, mangling thanks to each one of you! Your support for our campaign has been overwhelming. It is extremely gratifying that we  are reaching 1000 signatures! 

The idea of ​​creating this campaign occurred when we were working on an indigenous superhero material. Bill Waawaate, is the quintessential First Nations Superhero who defies stereotypes about indigenous communities. He is dynamic, educated, and is out to place Canada at its rightful place in global affairs, which it should be enjoying as a G7 member.

It is when we were looking for Cree words for this project that we discovered this glaring lacuna on Google Translate. Surely, if indigenous languages ​​are not represented on globally known apps such as this, it calls for some introspection on the part of all of us.

As we race towards making this campaign a nationwide exercise, I am excited to share with all of you the fact that I will be presenting this petition with our country's First Nations organizations and associations, media, social media influencers, celebrities, and so on, so that this petition reaches out to millions of Canadians!
