I must confess to being upset that neither Apple nor Google are showing any care for their customers here! I quote this from the link to the distressing article below included with this update:-

"It seems like I hear a story of a cyclist getting hit by a car almost daily. Between 2010 and 2016, fatalities of cyclists struck by vehicles rose by 35 percent, up to 840, in 2016....... Yet, cyclists notwithstanding, fatal automobile accidents due to distracted driving have also ballooned during that same period. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimates that on any given day during daylight hours, some 660,000 people are using cell phones while they drive."

Distracted driving is now the #1 Safety Issue on our roads today! #1 for god sake! Apple & Google can fix this with a simple change. They do have a duty of care here, and they could fix this easily, globally and it could reduce the issue by 90% or more overnight!

The details of how to fix this are laid out in the original petition details. It is a FREE technical specification, and its simple, fast and easy for them to do!

So common Apple & Google, what is your problem here? Why have you not responded with your explanation of why you are opting to sit idly by while your customers get killed and injured as a result of their "addiction" to your devices?
