I think we are finally getting there but now I need your help! We need to give the Deputy Prime Minister, who has now written to Google & Apple, a lesson in how technology works. Firstly, please click on the link and read the story in the Age with this update. Folks are finally waking up!

Here is what I need you to do today. Please write the following email directly to the Minsters office:

Dear Minister,

It is exciting to see you take a stand with Google & Apple to block drivers from using their phones while driving.

This change.org petition (click on this link for details) provides an innovative way that would allow Google & Apple to fix this problem once and for all! Klaus Bartosch, a technology expert, started this petition and it now has over 33,000 signatures already!

All Google & Apple have to do is simply make it automatic for ALL mobile users for Do Not Disturb While Driving to be turned on, AND, and here is the secret, if they ever try to disable it while driving, they receive a clear danger warning and log the fact that they have done this. Their systems can already do this now. Google & Apple just have to be encouraged to change it the way that this petition suggests. I also believe that Klaus would be very happy to talk to Government about this.

We are all becoming increasingly terrified to be on our roads due to distracted drivers. Your action here will make a massive difference!
