Through your submissions, in addition to a few site visits, we added some stores to the petition, and we attempted initial correspondence with them all. Sadly, that list now also includes Strand and Book Culture.

We will keep you posted, but please keep submitting and help us expand the database.

A store that was deemed problematic from the start, Women & Children First, has received the Bookstore of the Year Award from the Great Lakes Independent Booksellers Association (GLIBA).

We found this to be shameful, considering the store is saying in every possible way that if you care for the life of Israelis you should not come in.

We've reached out to GLIBA executive director, Larry Law, and expressed our concern. You can do so, too: larry@gliba.org.

This kind of not only enabling but also celebrating hate of Israelis is so problematic and people don't even realize they're partaking in it. It's time we tell them.
