Now that we are just over six months away from the council elections it is time to ask where the councillors and candidates, particularly those in Govan, stand on the graving docks? They are either with us or are they with the developers and voters who are at all concerned about the graving docks are entitled to know which it is before the election. One incumbent councillor has been particularly and openly hostile towards Clyde Docks Preservation Initiative and the campaign for a maritime heritage park. We strongly believe this individual is in favour of New City Vision’s plans to redevelop the site for primarily private housing and that they have attempted to undermine CDPI to protect the developers’ interests.
