Just an update to let you all know that filming for the documentary on Govan Graving Docks is almost complete with only a couple of interviews left to do.
We've already seen some of the interview footage and are very excited to be sharing the film with you soon.
We'll keep you up to date with news about the release date once the production team have completed the post-production work but we're well on track for a summer release this year.
We're also hoping to organise a public screening of the film - more news on that to come as well.
We're also delighted to note that Allan Young, who has backed the campaign to save the docks, is now a newly elected Councillor in Govan.
As for the planning application for housing on the graving docks - we understand the developers have now further delayed this until the end of June. We will be issuing guidance on objecting the the planning application once it has been received by Glasgow City Council. We're on standby but we're anticipating further likely delays to this.
The developers are also making platitudes on Facebook hinting that they might include a working dry dock in their development but we are not the least bit convinced. It seems as if they're getting desperate and the pressure needs to be maintained.
We also need to keep our general crowd funding contributions coming in to cover our essential costs as we approach the most critical stage in the fight to save Govan Graving Docks. More info on how you can contribute at http://cdpi.org.uk/support_us.htm
