The Clyde Docks Preservation Initiative is currently seeking corporate sponsors to support the ongoing core costs of the organisation; including office and admin costs, travel and meeting costs, management fees, professional fees, etc, separate from any project specific funding that will be sought on a case-by-case basis from appropriate sources. Alongside developing a strategic proposal for the restoration of Govan Graving Docks, we are close to completing a strategic business plan for the wider role of Clyde Docks Preservation Initiative, in line with our mission statement (www.cdpi.org.uk). We are preparing plans with the assistance of our technical and strategic planning advisor who has a strong background in civil engineering and key infrastructure projects. The plans being prepared include a 5-10 year overall delivery plan for the restoration of Govan Graving Docks. However in order to see this through, as well as our other projects, we do need to secure sufficient working capital as quickly as possible. Our short-term aim is to secure Govan Graving Docks into the ownership of a dedicated charity that will be ultimately responsible for the long-term stewardship of the site. We are offering up to 4 or 5 major funding partners (who we would initially provide with a copy of our strategic business plan) a display of their company logo at the foot of our website pages. All corporate supporters, including those offering services in kind, will be offered a listing on our corporate sponsors page that we will be adding shortly. If you work for an organisation that could potentially be interested in supporting the work of CDPI please ask your company’s contact to email iain@cdpi.org.uk in the first instance.
