First, thank you. Thank you for giving a damn. Many don't. There are 200,000+ people here who care, and if you've ever questioned your impact on the world, know that you've made a hell of a big one with this petition. Every day, we inch closer to 300,000 signatures. Today is World Elephant Day. It's a day to work a little harder, trust a little more, and celebrate the milestones that have enabled us to save much of this species. The fight is still long, poachers are still out there, and Ringling Bros. is still strong in keeping their elephants at the CEC. But to focus all of our energy on the negative is to lose sight of the positive. I wrote an op-ed Letter to the Editor to the Lakeland newsletter in Polk City, FL, where the CEC is located and where the elephants are being held. As soon as it publishes, I will let you all know. We need that kind of media attention, and I can't wait to get our wonderful work out there! I've also been in Twitter contact with Ringling Bros. They are steadfast in keeping the elephants at the CEC, and they claim that the facility is the best place for them. When I inquired about the many petitions being filed against them, they refused to answer. You only refuse when you have nothing beneficial to say in return. I've also been working with ADI (Animal Defenders International). They've received our petition that was sent to their social media manager. I am hopeful that he/she will share our petition across their sites. When a global organization such as ADI, who have helped countless animals across the world, stand strong to say that they don't support the Ringling Bros.' CEC, you know that speaks volumes. We're getting stronger. There's support out there for these animals. Today, I invite you to show gratitude for the fight still happening for these wonderful beings. People like you, who show compassion and see equality in all living things, are the ones who are the front lines. So, thank you. Thank you, thank you P.S.
