Transformers Animated fans have received little in the way of acknowledgement from Hasbro in recent Transformers waves, and while Prowl, Bumblebee and Optimus are great additions, we are lacking decept-iconic characters, such as Blitzwing, Megatron, Lockdown, or, perhaps most tragic, Lugnut. We want to see appreciation and revival to the iconic character, and wish to see him updated to fit a modern collector's taste. ROTF was a long, long time ago, and we sorely miss our big Lug. 

We fear Lugnut will fade into obscurity, as oftentimes non-G1 characters do, and his absence will harm the Decepticon lineup. He's enjoyable, charismatic, lovably dumb-as-bricks, and loyal. Most members of the crew are focused on backstabbing, and perhaps more varied characterization would assist in antics. (Plus, frankly, hearing him scream "My liege!" is one of the purest joys in life.)

Don't let Lugnut fade away. Don't let more of Animated's charm go to waste. We can bring him back, if we all ask Hasbro. We can find ways to bring back the joys of Animated. It's not the end for the legacy of Animated if we don't let it be. All it needs is a push. Bring Lugnut back. Bring Animated back into the eyes of the public. We can do this.
