Give TU Delft Students Claude Subscriptions for HCI & AI-Assisted Prototyping
The Issue
We, the students of TU Delft, request that the university provide funded Claude subscriptions, including Claude Code, for students taking Human Computer Interaction & AI-Assisted Prototyping.
Currently, students are being provided with GitHub Copilot. While both tools support AI-assisted development, we believe Claude Code's workflow is particularly well suited to rapidly designing, building, and refining interactive prototypes.
Anthropic already offers institutional licensing through Claude for Education, providing a potential way to make subscriptions available to students. With TU Delft's university-wide AI education policy still in development, we believe this is a valuable opportunity to consider additional tools that support the course's learning objectives.
We ask TU Delft to explore providing Claude subscriptions alongside GitHub Copilot for the duration of the course, taking existing licensing arrangements, educational value, and student feedback into account, without requiring students to pay individually.
