Dearest Friends, There are names that we hear in the news: Alyssa Morgan, Jamey Rodemeyer, Bart Palosz, Jessica Laney ,Eric Mohat, Phoebe Prince, Rehtaeh Parsons, Tyler Clementi, Hannah Smith, Amanda Todd, Rebecca Sedwick, Megan Taylor Meier, Alexis Pilkington, Taylor Alesana, Jordan Lewis, Lamar Hawkins III, Alyssa Funke,Raymond Howell Jr, Jeffrey Hulon Jr. They all have one thing in common...They are the youth who's lives ended because of bullycide (suicide due to bullying, with malice and no regard to life or person). My friends, these stories of our youth ending their lives or taking the lives of those who bully them. I have to tell you, every single time I pick up a paper or see another life taken due to bullycide, the anger and rage that I feel swells up and I want to just scream in anguish: "SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE! BULLYCIDE must be made as a hate crime that can have severe consequences!" Today, as I write this, I announce to you all who have joined my effort, a unprecedented alert status: RED ALERT! We, as citizens must come together to unite in the call for justice, equality and more for our youth who have suffered too long in silence, suffered too long in anguish, we have watched too many of our youth take their own life and it is time once and for all to stand up and give our youth a voice to say: "Enough is enough!"
