"Playmobil The Movie," or as I much rather call it, "The Playmobil Movie" is an animated movie that was first released back in 2019. It's based on the Playmobil toy brand which is kind of similar to Lego. I've recently watched the movie and really liked it. Even though I barely played with the Playmobil toys during my childhood, the movie captured my interest with its engaging storyline, beautiful animation, unique yet endearing characters and great soundtrack! I thought it was just as good as the Lego Movie and, in some ways, was even better! They're both great movies in their own ways!

However, the unexpected escape of the villain Maximus in the mid credits scene left many viewers, including me, hanging and longing for a sequel that never came sadly. Also, despite its charm, the Playmobil Movie didn't do so well with the reviews and at the box office making only $16.4 million globally against its $75 million budget (source: Box Office Mojo). Not only that, but the movie's not even that well known. Many people don't even know the movie exists. Also, many people called it a rip-off of the Lego Movie. Well yes, I admit the movie has it mistakes and flaws but it was still a good movie. And just to let you know, it is NOT a Lego Movie rip-off!! Yes, the movies are similar to each other but still very different!! I heard they might've been planning a Playmobil 2 and possibly even a Rex Dasher spin-off movie but they probably got cancelled due to the movie's undeserved performance. It has now been over 5 years since the movie came out and there hasn't been any more theatrical Playmobil movies or even anything related to the original movie ever since!

However, all of this should not prevent us from advocating for a sequel or reboot. Seeing the success of franchises like Lego, it is clear that toy-based movies can captivate an audience. With characters like Rex Dasher and Blood Bones, there is great potential for captivating spin-off stories that can add depth and richness to the Playmobil universe. I absolutely love Rex Dasher; he's a very fun and lovable character! He definitely deserves his own spin-off movie or TV series! 

By signing this petition, we are urging production companies to consider giving Playmobil another chance either on the big screen or on any streaming services possibly. Especially now, when viewers are searching for fresh and innovative content, a new Playmobil project that's a sequel to the 2019 movie could be both a commercial success and a beloved treat for many fans around the world. It would offer closure to the original story and potentially carve a path for new narratives that could continue to entertain us. If that's not possible, then maybe at least a spin-off, reboot or anything related to it. Maybe even a TV series as well!

Let's try to encourage anyone out there to create more Playmobil projects related to the 2019 movie either on the big screen or on any streaming services. Let's give our favorite Playmobil characters the chance to come alive again either in a sequel, spin-off or reboot! If a movie's not possible, then maybe a TV series instead. The Playmobil Movie deserves another chance somehow!!
