Give the Pepperoncini Its Emoji Moment! 

We have a taco 🌮, a croissant 🥐, even a mooncake 🥮—but no pepperoncini?! It’s time to fix that.

At Papa Johns, we’ve got a few values: Better Ingredients. Better Pizza.®… and a humble hero that always shows up to the party.

We’re talking about the iconic pepperoncini.

It’s zesty. It’s iconic. It’s always in the box. But somehow, it didn’t make the emoji menu?

The pepperoncini is the unsung hero of pizza boxes. The tangy little sidekick that brings just the right bite. A pickled icon. A salad MVP. The flavor bomb we didn’t deserve—but always get.
And yet… there’s no pepperoncini emoji.
🫑🔛🧞 just isn't cutting it anymore. 

No shade to the hot pepper 🌶️, but we need representation for the mild legend—the tangy, wrinkly, snackable sidekick that’s been riding shotgun on our pizzas for decades.

We believe it’s time for the pepperoncini to get the emoji it deserves.
That’s why we’re officially asking the Unicode Consortium to create a new emoji: the PEPPERONCINI.

✅ It’s a staple on pizzas, salads, sandwiches.
✅ It’s visually distinct (yellow-green, curly, vibey).
✅ It’s got the flavor and the fanbase.
✅ It’s long overdue.

From epic Papa Johns pizzas to sandwiches to Greek salads, pepperoncini are everywhere—but they’re invisible in digital culture. 

So here’s the deal:

We’re already submitting an official proposal to Unicode. Now we need your help to show there’s real appetite for it.
