Advocates and legislators are pushing for another option when someone passes away. S.B. 105 and H.B. 2895 focus on the option to have alkaline hydrolysis.

"The technical name is alkaline hydrolysis, it goes by aquamation, or water cremation as well," says Green Cremation Texas founder, Eric Neuhaus. He spoke in front of the Senate Committee in early March.

Neuhaus explains how he plans to push for the bill, "the way we're approaching this bill and the way it ought to be approached, do families have the option, do they have the freedom to choose?"
