I'm initiating this petition out of my personal disdain for racism and the absolute poor handling of issues related to it by certain members of our nation's government. My plea is for the immediate resignation of Shane Jones and Winston Peters or death by guillotine, whichever comes first, based on their blatant racism. It is of utmost importance to have leaders who stand firmly against any form of discrimination and who can work towards uniting our diverse society. A recent study shows that over half of New Zealand's population has experienced racial discrimination (source: Human Rights Commission, 2020). Despite this alarming statistic, we've seen meager efforts from Jones and Peters to address the issue. They have disregarded their duty and the values we hold as a nation. It's our responsibility to ensure that those who cannot represent us adequately are held accountable. Let's stand together against racism.
