The Final Update! Sasha's Transplant!

I want to start by saying these last 6 months have been a complete rollercoaster of a ride - we have had struggles that you wouldn't believe, we've had ups, we've had downs, we've had tears and we've had laughter but after all this the one thing that has held us together is that we've had support, overwhelming support that we could have never imagined from friends and complete strangers and all from people that have cared! Cared enough to have compassion for another human being and I cannot begin to explain how this has moved me in a way that you would never believe! So it has come to my final update, which I say with a heavy heart but a smile on my face as I have to close the petition for Victory and what a Victory it has been! We started this campaign in November and we managed to achieve Victory by February! What an achievement!! I was shocked beyond belief when I heard the words that the Government had changed their decision, the emotional journey that we experienced throughout this fight has been unforgettable, the most moving experience ever, I have been witness to the power of people coming together for the same cause and I have been so very humbled! So we are here, we have come to the end of this road, only for Sasha to start her next, I can confirm after a long and antagonising wait due to complications regarding donors Sasha has finally had her transplant! I feel overjoyed to be able to share this with you! What an inspiration she has been, she has shown such courage and tenacity throughout the most stressful situation anyone would ever have to face in their life and has always had a beautiful smile on her face, never showing fear! This maybe the end of our journey on change.org (for now until we start fighting for something else!) but if you would like to continue following Sasha's journey then please do follow her page on Facebook on the link at the bottom of the update, just join and you will be gladly accepted. I just want to thank each and every one of you for your support, for your generosity, and for the encouraging messages that we have received along the way and believe me I have read every single one of them, all have given us the strength to fight on, some have reduced me to tears but every single one has meant the world! All I can say now is that YOU have given Sasha her 'happy ever after' and you have helped fight to save all the other people out there that may have had to face this turmoil YOU have given them their 'happy ever after' too! It has been a long road but we achieved our goal and we couldn't have done it without you! We really cannot express how touched we have been by this whole experience, we have had messages from people that have gone on to have their second Transplants thanking us for our fight, it has been overwhelming! We honestly cannot thank you all enough, Sasha will be on her road to recovery and it's thanks to people power that this has happened, I have appreciated every step of this journey, it has taught me some lessons in life that I will keep with me forever and I can't say anything more than thank you! THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT, THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR KINDNESS, THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR GENEROSITY AND LAST OF ALL THANK YOU ALL FOR STICKING BY US! I never knew the meaning of the saying 'one voice alone can start a change, however many voices together, can achieve what seems the impossible' until I started this campaign, and how true those words are! THANK YOU CHANGE.ORG FOR GIVING PEOPLE A VOICE! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH, YOU ARE ALL AMAZING XX https://www.facebook.com/groups/795606547197440/
