SA: South America,

NARAKA: Bladepoint released right out of beta with a SA server. Through bad marketing in the continent and not bringing free-to-play/PS5 to the table or even discussion openly until July 2023, the SA server seemed to have dwindled according to what people think they knew about the server and then NetEase shut it down. Now with the SA node that is tied to NA, (you connect to the NA servers after not finding a game in SA node. The problem here is that it also creates a normal 9-minute queue time frequently considering you have to wait 5 minutes every single queue before connecting to NA server) console players inside of SA trying to play on the SA node can't at all. They HAVE to play on the NA server, creating a disparity in the "accounted population."

Despite what people think they know about the continent we have enough people for a server. With the game going free-to-play on July 13th, we're expected to wait and see if the node "fills" without Xbox or PS5 (assumably) even being able to connect to our own node. This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

Biggest points are honestly:

1. There is no reason to keep the formal discussion regarding the return of the South American server confidential. This is not a "good surprise," and is quite disrespectful to the people who have been told they would be listened to... but absolutely have not been [listened to] whatsoever.
2. The number of players that live in the South American region that are disrespected and even called cheaters because they are able to parry people on 170 ping and punish people to the end of hell is quite unfair to the people wanting to play the game normally in the first place.
3. Copium is not the answer, especially for a game that is aspiring to be as big as they and the people who currently play wish it to be. They want to boost eSport numbers and inclusiveness supposedly, but they do not back up these claims with any substance finer than dirt.
4. SA holds a huge game against NA players, as dictated by purplemadness. (a respected moderator amongst the Naraka community) Purple had to manage the aftermath of complaining that came with SA playing in the same tourney as NA. We have a literal chance at the top just like anyone else.

purplemadness [mod]: "Being real now though, on the release there was actually a shit-ton of players, on beta I could find matches at most in a minute, and that's being on top 20 of the leaderboard. Most people quit due to the game being paid + having no server, a few came back with the announcement, but being realistic, would we have NA players if NA had no server?"

blessy: "Could have been more. But the fact 24E left SA with the existing servers? What's the reason."

purplemadness [mod]: "Well, the reason given by then it was due to "lack of pre-purchases" which is expected, given the fact that the game released with no regional pricing, close to new world, and here in Brazil it was MORE EXPENSIVE than new world for example. Regardless, they already do pay for the server currently, as there's an NA node, all that he's asking for is for then to add the server they already have in place in the menu with the others."

blessy: "I see, market be weird everywhere. They could change it now. But following it, the expenses could be massive without an expected outcome perhaps."

purplemadness [mod]: "Thats the deal, they already have the expense. The server is already in place again, all its needed is for it to be added in the menu in-game. If it was a money situation, I'd 100% agree with you. However, the way they're doing it, they're losing players, they already ARE spending money on a server that doesn't work properly, and it causes SA players with 150 ping, to play on NA and NA players to complain about high ping players..."

I'm just simply asking that you take the time to sign if you are willing to, it would mean a lot to the rest of the NARAKA: Bladepoint community, because this would open up more discussion towards more servers than just South America.
