Homes NSW have in their infinite shame decided to restrict the use of the community centres in Waterloo and make it even harder for residents to b able to use them for the good of the community. They will be closing access to many for existing tenant volunteers who have been servicing the community with free fresh and prepared food, cooking lessons, sit-down meals, a computer recycling program giving free computers to residents and a host of other programs to cover their shameful arses.

For example the Marton community centre has been used by resident volunteers Gerard Virgona and Philip Grandville for over 15 years to hand out food during the week. It has been so successful that they managed to beg, borrow and buy several large commercial fridges to expand their operation. 

Homes NSW are now changing the locks and going to throw away all the commercial equipment used to distribute the food and making it much, much harder to use these rooms for the community.
