Give Kung Fu Panda a Theatrical Re-release for its 20th Anniversary!!!
The Issue
In 2008, DreamWorks Animation's first Kung Fu Panda was released in theaters. It follows Po (played by Jack Black), a panda who becomes an unlikely hero when he is destined to be the legendary Dragon Warrior. Then it got several continuations which were also good and successful and became a hit franchise! I remember the first time I saw DreamWorks' Kung Fu Panda. The exhilarating action, the well-crafted humor, and the profound heart of the movie resonated deeply with me. It's such an awesome start to an amazing franchise! Yet, to this day, I haven't had the chance to experience its magic on the big screen.
Kung Fu Panda, with its breathtaking animation and inspiring story of unlikely heroism, deserves more than just a spot in our movie collections, digital platforms, and streaming services. It deserves the grandeur and shared joy that only a theatrical experience can provide. As a devoted fan, I'm certain I'm not alone. There are countless others who have yet to see Po the Panda's first triumphant journey gracing the cinema screens.
The year 2028 marks the 20th anniversary of this beloved film. What better way to celebrate this milestone than by bringing Kung Fu Panda back to theaters for a limited time? DreamWorks has the perfect opportunity to rekindle the movie's original magic and introduce it to newer audiences, as well as to provide loyal fans the chance to relive the experience. They recently gave Shrek a limited theatrical re-release for its 25th anniversary this year in 2026, so why not do the same for Kung Fu Panda?!
Let's rally together and urge DreamWorks to make this event a reality. Imagine sitting among friends and family, witnessing the landscapes of ancient China and the thrilling action of Kung Fu once more, while sharing laughter and nostalgia. The anniversary is not just a number; it’s a celebration of a story that continues to inspire courage, humor, and heart.
Your support could make all the difference. Sign this petition to show DreamWorks how much we cherish Kung Fu Panda and to highlight our desire to see it honored with a grand theatrical release in 2028. Let's make this dream come true for all fans, old and new! The first Kung Fu Panda that started it all deserves a return to the big screen!!
