Give KSU students back their Adobe Licenses

Give KSU students back their Adobe Licenses
The Issue
Kennesaw State University released a statement on March 8th reading that beginning July 1st students would have to pay for access to view their Adobe accounts on anything other than a school computer. Access will cost students $20/month, adding up to $240/year. Along with costing students an additional charge on top of tuition, studio art fees, campus fees, here are some of the following reasons restricting this access is taking advantage of KSU's arts students.
- Art students require access to Adobe to work on ALL digital coursework assigned by professors. Meaning for most Illustration and Digital Animation majors they will be unable to work on any homework if they are not in one of the small art buildings.
- Both the Visual Arts building and Chastain Pointe have only about 100 computers available for use, not counting when classes are in session and are unable to be used. Compare this to the over 1,200 art students who use these facilities.
- KSU only allows for Juniors and Seniors to access the art buildings after close, meaning that any incoming Freshmen and Sophomores will be completely unable to work on any coursework after building hours.
- KSU has repeatedly ignored student's requests for more parking to be made available to their arts buildings, requiring students to be on campus to complete ALL of their assigned work means there will most definitely not be enough parking to accommodate the influx.
Please help support this cause. Students should not be charged high tuition fees only to receive the bare minimum support from their university.
