Today is Tax Day (May 17), let’s make sure that everyone has a piece of the pie... monthly checks to families ensures this.  But, remember these monthly checks are temporary. Tell Congress to bake them in permanently.

Rent, food, child care, clothes - it’s never been more expensive to raise a family and just get by. Expanding the Child Tax Credit is part of President Biden’s COVID relief package. While these checks do not support everyone, the IRS just announced they will go out to 88% of all children in our country. This is huge.

20 years ago, Community Change Action and Children’s Defense Fund- demanded an expanded Child Tax Credit. Today, they're a reality and will cut child poverty in HALF. Now, we must extend this permanently. Check out this article to learn more.
