The Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) is dysfunctional and grossly under-funded. 

News story after news story shows the dysfunction of DCYF and how children in their care and oversight are not safe.  

Last week the deplorable operation of DCYF hit home in East Providence and we are calling on Governor Raimondo to fix the administrative issues with DCYF and calling on both House Speaker Nicholas Mattiello and Senate President Dominick Ruggerio as well as our East Providence delegation to increase funding for DCYF. 

While this petition was born out of an incident in East Providence, this is a state-wide issue and we urge residents from around the state to join us.
