Gibson 2028

The Issue

As Aristotle once said, "Those who educate children well are more to be honored than they who produce them; for these only gave them life, those the art of living well." Zachary Gibson is an eighth-grade exclusive teacher at a school I will not specify. He is, as said in the quote, a person who gives children life, and teaches them how to live well. In the eyes of many, including myself, these people are the most respectable people in society. Mr. Gibson is the best teacher I have ever had, and I believe he would be the best candidate for the 2024 United States of America president because he has a very charismatic personality, he is a very skilled speaker, and he is extremely passionate about both his teaching and his country.

Despite the admittedly below-average salary of teachers (including Mr. Gibson), he always remains positive and displays immense charisma with everything he says. Along with many other students, I would typically find the subject of history to not be the most interesting, Mr. Gibson is capable of making it the class that I am always looking forward to with his captivating lessons. Despite his professionalism, he still makes his lessons interesting and fun, and he is always kind to the students.

During his years of teaching, Zachary Gibson has acquired many skills that assist with his teaching, and that can assist with his future presidency if we manage to make him win the election. The most important of these skills, at least in my opinion, is his public speaking skills. Although I have never seen him speak in front of an audience larger than ~30 people, he has shown to be able to project his voice to the audience and create attention-grabbing presentations to assist him. Furthermore, he has shown time and time again to not fall for taunts from students, and rather uses anything of the sort as a platform to launch from for his lessons, displaying his quick thinking and clever personality. Even though I have known Mr. Gibson for a few months now, I am still surprised whenever I see his ability to use anything as an opportunity to teach the students more.

However, even with his public speaking ability, there would be no reason to do this if it weren't for his passion. Zachary Gibson has displayed his passion not only for the subject he teaches, but also for the students that he is teaching to. He is constantly encouraging the students to learn more and more about history even during the time in between assignments, such as after we finish bellwork. He has even put time and effort into creating something called a "blooket." Blooket.com is a website in which Mr. Gibson made "blookets" about history, which we play if we are done with assignments. This assures that we are always learning more and more about history and committing what we already know to memory. All of this shows how passionate he is about teaching others about history and attempting to share that passion with as many people as he possibly can.

Despite this, some people still dislike Mr. Gibson. Because that opinion is completely lost on me, I asked someone who dislikes him, though I am keeping them anonymous for privacy reasons. They said, although I am paraphrasing, that he talks too much for them to keep their attention on the information. However, isn't this more of a commentary on the degrading attention span of the younger generations? Many people are able to keep up with his lessons, and he even incorporates various methods to make his lessons easier to follow. Because of this, I have come to the conclusion that the only reasons people dislike Mr. Gibson are because of superficial reasoning such as the simple fact that many people dislike school as a whole, and therefore associate Mr. Gibson with school itself.

In conclusion, Zachary Gibson has a captivating personality and lessons, he is very well-versed in the art of public speaking, and he is extremely passionate about the subjects that he teaches, the children that he teaches the aforementioned subject to, and the country in which he lives, teaches, and (metaphorically) creates life for anyone who enters his class. I sincerely thank you for reading through this, but if you want to make the most informed decision, head down to room C206 and speak to the man himself.
